II Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
Perhaps the greatest reality to perceive concerning the new creation is the nature with which he is born. Scripture declares that if only a man would dare believe in his heart and declare with his mouth the Lordship of Jesus Christ, He is born again.
That word of faith he declares in agreement with the counsel of God unleashes power to produce in him a newness…the new creation is born of God and carries in him no remnant of the seed of Adam in his spirit; he carries the nature of the Source from which he was birth and that nature is righteousness! Romans 6:4; 10:9, 10 II Corinthians 5:21 II Peter 1:4
Righteousness is much more than the attribute of being just or the quality of being right. It is the new nature that the man born of God has on his inside. It is ability to stand in the presence of God without guilt, inferiority, condemnation or fear; not to even mention the consciousness of these things.
The new creation is righteous by virtue of his position in Christ and simply because he carries that nature of His father, even God. John 1:12, 13 Romans 5:18, Romans 3:21 – 22
These are solemn truths to which every member of the body of Christ must awaken to. There is great need for this light to shine so strong in our hearts because the understanding of this concept of righteousness as it is writ in Christ is that sure foundation on which our entire growth is founded. Selah. Hebrews 5:12-14.
Are you born again? Then you are righteous! It is not what you do or not do that makes you right before the eyes of God. No, far from it! Righteousness is that new nature that you freely received in Christ Jesus that day you got born again; you received it by entirely believing in the Lordship of Jesus Christ and like Ephesians says, it was wholly by grace and not by works lest we boast. Hallelujah. Ephesians 2:8, 9
The child of God has all ability to live the life without sin; one that is totally devoted to the Lordship of Jesus in its entirety. This is possible because he carries this new nature, righteousness, on his inside and thus can live it out.
Jesus Christ has made the new creation free and we are to stand fast in that liberty and be all that God says we are. He says sin cannot have dominion over you…he says you are His righteousness…you are the overcomer!
Beloved having come to the light of this truth, what must be the manner with which we conduct ourselves? The word of God calls for us, the church, to awaken to righteousness. We have not been called to walk in sin consciousness…this has been the bane of many children of God where living out our righteousness is concerned.
Instead, He says we should take advantage of His grace and live in dominion over sin, the devil and any circumstance contrary to the purposes of God. He says for us to walk in Word consciousness! Hallelujah!
His Word says for us to take grace and let it reign through this new nature we have, even righteousness, for the display of the life of God in its fullness. Romans 5:21. Beloved, it is past time that we be what the Word says…please check out Romans 6:11-22.
I believe that the ability to catch revelation from the Holy Spirit is key to our conforming to the Word of God. There are truths that must simply come alive in our spirit and cause us to live in higher dimensions of the Word of God. Philemon 1:6, I Corinthians 15: 34
Beloved there are things that you must reckon, in all earnestness and fullness of conviction, to be true concerning your identity in Christ:
- You are the offspring of God; you were born of Him and carry his “sperma” in you!
- You are righteous because you are born of God! You carry the nature of your Heavenly Father. Selah!
- You are not a sinner; beloved do not ever say that or think that again!
- Sin cannot have dominion over you because you are born again and are founded in grace. Awaken to this truth!
- You have been called to walk in “righteousness consciousness” and not in “sin consciousness”. Let it rule your entire being and consume you that you are the fruit of Jesus’ work on the cross and thus you are no slave to sin, the devil or this world. Hallelujah!
Beloved, these are truths that must be etched with fire upon our hearts…they must propel us into experiencing that glorious liberty of the children of the Most High. It is important that we are thoroughly grounded in this basic truth of our identity in Christ.
There are many exploits to be done in the kingdom for which the Father requires sons who are well versed in the Word of Righteousness…Hallelujah and O boy, Beloved, you are that one prepared and made ready by the Holy Spirit! Selah.
Heavenly Father, I thank you for who I am in Christ. I trust in your Word which declares that I am the righteousness of God and I’m found in your grace thus sin, the devil or this world can not have dominion over me. I display your life and nature at work in me, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
