Nurturing unto maturity

There is a posture that causes us to lean more into the ways of the world and be moved considerably by its attractions. This posture is the root cause of our asking amiss in prayer. For we do not see as we ought to. We do not comprehend like He wishes us to. We cannot draw out from fellowship with Him and engage Him in prayer in the things that make the stuff of His heartbeat. This posturing of ignorance makes us ask amiss…and makes us by default friends of the world.

For where ignorance into the Oracles and Word of God reigns, the darkness of deception in the systems of the world find easy prey. The new man in Christ who neglects to feed on the bread of life and drink  His invigorating blood in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit in the Word, reeks of worldliness. His mental construction is worldly. His outlook and purpose for being is bereft of kingdom rooting and is superficially grounded in the chaff of the worlds ideals. This is carnal. This is adultery.

For the new creation has been espoused to Christ. At the Kings second advent, the church must be fit to be his eternal bride and reign with him forever. To this end we must commit in discipline and be unrelenting in our nurturing unto maturity.

Let us annul the false contract that attaches us to the agenda of the world. Let us burn in the fire of His Grace. Let us embrace the Word, command and philosophy of Christ and be zealous in the execution of His command. For to be at harmony with the agenda of the world is to be variance with the kingdom of Light…

James 4:4-5Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?

Shall we not cease vexing unto jealousy the spirit of God who lives in us.
