Continuing from our previous post….
Our words are the vehicles that convey our deepest thoughts, our desires, belief, hopes and disposition. They unveil our intent and make known to the entire cosmos the construct of our intangible mind…
Our words are ultimately distilled from the makeup of our mind. When we speak fear, is it not because we are besieged by its hordes in our spirit. When we speak faith, is it not because we have been stirred up and lifted by the eternal wings of the Word of Truth…and so we speak from that lifted position of faith…in Christ!
When we offend intentionally, it betrays a weakness unresolved in us…it tells of imperfections yet to be perfected. Selah.
But we must also remember, offence is not only a function of the word spoken. Offence comes also from the stubbornness of hearts unwilling to yield to the Word of Truth.
Therefore, let us proceed on the march of perfection.
Let us bridle our tongue.
Let us be true examples of indelible transformation.
My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body — James 3:1-2
