The twin summits of righteousness

For us who are born of God and filled with His life and Spirit, there truly remains no argument on the question of which Jerusalem we belong to. For we know there are two summits- the Jerusalem of old that called to bondage, and the new Jerusalem from above within which the true liberty of the sons of Gods repose.

For brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free –Galatians 4:31we live under the much more perfect “law of liberty”- which is the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. This is the law of the spirit of life that has truly made us free from the law of sin and death. This is the banner over us, under which we fulfill the righteousness of the law- now we walk “not after the flesh but in the Spirit”!  Glory to God!

Now we stand justified in His presence because of the vicarious work of Jesus Christ. By His shed blood we stand today, acceptable in love and blameless before the Father. Now we are energised by His life…Zoe propels us to walk the higher paths of divine righteousness and now, we more than fulfill the tenets and principles of the old law…Glory to God!

Now we are not numbered among the transgressors…now we are not numbered among the guilty…for we answer to and are judged by the perfecting law of Grace…wherein mercy rejoices against judgment… wherein we are at liberty to be all that the sons of God can be and ought to be!

James 2:10-13 – For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. 13 For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment
