To keep ourself unspotted

This life shall throw at us all sorts of fragrances that shall seek to perfume us. Some, with the beautiful aroma of glory; others too with the foul fragrance of past trials and temptations.

Let us remember well.
We are the called to walk through the fire unsinged.
We are the called to walk through the floods and not drown.
Yea, we are the called to walk on the waters and defy it’s will.
We are the called to raise the valleys and pull down towering mountains…
There may be many trials and temptations, but we are more than conquerors…our names are etched in the concrete slabs of heaven’s halls of conquest!

Therefore, as we walk through adversity and subdue trials and temptations, we may be scarred. We may have memories that remind us. We stand also, the chance of being spotted by the stained hands of the adversity we have conquered.

Let us cherish our scars. They are sure signs of the faithfulness of the Lord – that in all things we are overcomers!
Let us praise God for the memories…they erupt that great “Ebenezer” from our lips- for thus far has the Lord brought us and unto greater heights will he take us now and in the life to come. Glory to God!
Thank you Mighty Father! Hallelujah!

Let us cherish these…but No, let us not be stained by the spots of these previous experiences. Let us not descend to sorrow because we fell down hard at one time…Let us not stop loving because our trust was taken advantage of and our hearts broken into pieces….No! Let us not stop ministering because some of the brethren still spew out contempt to our face…Let us remain unspotted from these!

For it is the place of faith to be tested and prevail. It is the place of hope to weather the ever present and ubiquitous despair and remain undiminished…it is the place of Love to be bruised and hurt and remain at all times unspotted! Glory to God!

James 1:27 – Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.
