Exegesis of Light · James

A tongue bridled and reined in

Dear Child of God,

Let us embrace the fullness of the call to walk as new creations, and lay aside all hindrances as we feed on His word always and receive the divine tutelage of the Holy Spirit. As we continue in this pure light, let us learn also to rule our tongue.

James 1:26 – If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless.

For our words must be filled with the essence, beauty, power and glorious majesty of Christ revealed in our hearts. We must bend our words to blessing only, lifting always, strengthening many.

Let our words be bridled and reined in by the patience of agape and the fortitude of His divine strength at work in us. To the end that when we speak, it shall be full of Grace always…it shall be fully seasoned with salt….and it shall minister the higher divine realities of faith, hope and love to all that hear us. That Christ may be exalted on our lips….so that no man shall be able to resist the power of His spirit and wisdom unveiled in our words.

Thank you Holy Spirit. For your instruction in the Word unto the apprehension of all truth in righteousness. Thank you O divine Helper!
We walk in your wisdom and strength: We rule our tongue to the glory of Your name!

Glory to God!
