And by this we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him. 20 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. 21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God – 1 John 3:19-21
We are of the truth!
Let us find rest in this light. When the accusations of darkness rise up to minister guilt to our hearts, let us answer with this “it is written!”
We are the objects of His love. We have been transformed by His Love…today we are vessels of His Love; we showcase to the world the soundless depths of the Father’s Love. Let us rest in the bosom of this truth. Let us write these truths upon the tables of our hearts.
And if our hearts begin to vacillate and our conscience begins to minister condemnation to us…let us remind ourselves of whose arms we are presently locked in embrace with. Let us see the Lord of Agape Himself; and us-his church- in unbreakable union with Him. Then let that vision still our every uncertainty and rid us of every condemnation…in the name of Jesus!
And as our hearts are swayed and won over by His overwhelming Love, Beloved, let us not forget the One in whom we have our confidence. For we boast not in ourselves…our certainty is not of ourselves; it is rooted in Him, drawn up from Him, distilled from Him, filled and refilled in Him and of Him…
Herein rests our confidence in Christ: “…He which hath begun a good work in us will perform it until the end…” Philippians 1:6.
