Today we continue with our exegesis on the First Epistle of St. John…..focusing on chapter 3 vs 8.
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. – 1 John 3:8
Child of God
He is righteous. We who are numbered with Him must walk righteous.
The Devil is of the transgression. Those who walk in sin greatly extol and magnify his sigil.
We should make no mistake: we are on the side of light…we must endeavor to advance the cause of light and push back relentlessly the frontiers of darkness.
We cannot be found in the expressions of darkness…we must not lift the sigil of Lucifer’s house!
We shall not! We must tear it down!
Glory to God!
And in its place magnify the expressions of the kingdom of light!
For we know that it is for this cause, that He was made manifest…to destroy the works of the devil.
And we who are numbered among His ecclesia carry the testimony and power of His righteousness in us.
We are no more slaves to the influence of sin.
We are presently loyal servants in obedience to His righteousness.
Let us therefore walk with holy arms lifted and hearts postured rightly in the consciousness of His righteousness!
