Psalms

The man planted in Christ

He shall be like a tree
    Planted by the rivers of water,
    That brings forth its fruit in its season,
    Whose leaf also shall not wither;
And whatever he does shall prosper. [Psalm 1:3]

The blessed man of the Lord is the child of God. He is planted in Christ. He is resourced by wells that never run dry. He is the tree of righteousness planted by the rivers of waters.

He is inundated with a steady supply of treasures from the throne room of Grace. He is supplied with all he needs and wants and desires in Christ…He is sufficient and complete in the firstborn. No more lack! Selah

There is in the people of God, the constant consciousness of sufficiency and supply, for papa God is Abba to them…He is the infinite source…the very infinite well of supply that never runs dry. Glory to God!

Is it wisdom needed? It is daily piped to their inside by the Holy Spirit! For indeed Christ has become their wisdom displayed. He houses the fountains that break forth all the hidden knowledge of truth and reality. Therefore, I say, the breakthroughs we seek so zealously in the academic halls of science, economics and sociology shall be much more within our grasp when the seeker is connected to and resourced by the glorious treasures of wisdom flowing out from the bosom of Christ. Our world today has need of such persons…the one planted by the rivers of waters…nourished by the very life and treasures of Deity.

This is the man who bears fruit in his appointed season. This is the man who is most gloriously placed to be the supply to the world’s needs. This is the new creation in Christ.

The world is ruled by time which exerts its influence in seasons. So we see all around us: seasons of hope and of despair. Seasons of life and of death. Seasons of supply and of lack. Season of wisdom and of folly…of love and of selfishness….this world abounds with such many themes. But for every deficiency or need in every season of this world, there is an evergreen tree whose presence guarantees heavens supply…

This is the blessed man of the Lord. This is the new creation!
