1 John 1:3-4 3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.
I believe that our ministry as witnesses of the Lordship and power of Jesus is most effective and true when we testify of things we have seen and heard ourselves. This takes away the “religion” out of the call to evangelize and disciple men. For there is no bringer of enlightenment comparable to the glorious Holy Spirit; and His ministry as Teacher is the birthright and privilege of every new creation.
It is only the Holy Spirit who can make the child of God come alive to the divine verities found in the kingdom and Lordship of Jesus…it is only the Holy Spirit who can teach the child of God to communicate the gospel of grace with power as it ought to be proclaimed. The child of God must see for Himself and hear for himself from the Holy Spirit! Selah
We must see if we are to make men see. We must be immersed in His supply if we are to deluge our world with the flow from the throne room of God. The Apostle John testified of things he had seen and heard….that was the spark of reality in all his witnessing. He had experienced the reality of the Word of Life and so he proclaimed Jesus in all the compelling force of reality and knowledge!
He knew beyond any shadow of doubt what he had come to and the endowments he possessed in Christ. His expressions on all themes of the divine life was possible because of his intimate knowledge and experience of the Word of Life. Selah
All of the realities of the Divine Life is ours to experience and ours to explore to the fullest gamut. Therefore, let us explore all of it as we fellowship with the Holy Spirit in the light of His Word; and as we do, let us witness and declare to all people the verities of this glorious call in Christ… “that they also may fellowship with us”…and partake in the hidden treasures of Christ.
