1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— 2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— [I John 1:1-2]
What is your testimony today?
Have you tasted and seen of the Word of Life?
What have you personally experienced in your fellowship with the Word of Life?
The opening verses of this epistle highlight the personal testimony and experience of the Apostle John. He testifies that the “Word of Life” was made tangibly manifest in this plane of reality…and his physical senses recognized and acknowledged Him! Glory to God!
Today we have a similar testimony! The Word of Life lives in us. We have not seen him with our physical eyes. We have not heard him with our physical ears. We have not touched him with our physical hands. Yet we have experienced, even more, the manifestation of the Word of Life! Selah!
We know Him. We give poignant testimony to the fact. With anointed eyes of faith we have feasted on His Beauty, Power and Majesty. With ears removed of wax by the anointing, we have heard Him speak…we have heard His name roar…we have heard all creation tremble at the power in His name. Glory to God!
With our very spirits, we are intimately locked in fellowship with Him. We touch His beating heart….we feel the moistness of His breath on our ears as He leans in constantly whispering Light into our hearts.
For this life is in us. His name is Jesus! This life is manifested in us in all power. We have testimony to give to men of the veracity of the “Word of Life” manifestly declared to us as He was -in all reality- declared to the Apostle John.
