1 Peter · Exegesis of Light

A befitting testimony to the Victor in Christ!

1 Peter 5:10-11   10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. 11 To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

The waters may rise and rage for a time. They may seek to drown you…for a time. You may keep swimming against the tides for a time….But that is all there is to it. It shall be for a time. It shall come to pass…it shall be consumed and you shall remain standing – as the Victor you are in Christ!

The fires may rise to a conflagration. Aided by the winds contrary to you, it may spread and touch many spheres of your being. It may consume…and destroy BUT only for a time. For you shall not be burnt by its power. You shall not even be singed at a hair!

Grace is your shield and keeper…even the armor of light and legions of angels mighty in strength. Shortly, the fire shall cease…having consumed itself and you shall remain standing upon the ashes of victory. A befitting testimony to the Victor in Christ. Glory!

Let the brethren, in difficult situations, be comforted always by these words. Let hope rise stirred up by the swelling words of faith…let Grace be tapped into…even all the divine resources needed to be preserved in the midst of adversity. Let the word of truth be manifestly declared in our lives… and let us always overcome the adversary!

For “the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Selah

Glory to God!
