1 Peter

a reason for selfless service to our Glorious King

1 Peter  5:4  And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that does not fade away.

We know “Ecce Venit”….Behold He comes! And His reward with Him, to give to every man according to His works. Revelation 22:12 Selah. May our works, in this dispensation, stand the test of the fire and be found most pleasing unto our liege Lord. Selah

I see here the reason that should motivate leadership in all the local churches to selfless service in agape unto the flock. It is not the promise of earthly riches (to which we have right to lay claim); it is not the promise of miraculous working power and influence in this dispensation( to which we constantly seek and pray to experience that the cause for our King and His Kingdom may be fully manifested)…it is the advent hope!

The return of the King in all the beauty and splendor of His might and glory and kingdom manifestation. It is this advent that brings with it the rewards from the King Himself to the servants who stood faithful and true and multiplied the gifting bestowed on them by engaging tirelessly in the vineyard of men. This is the reason presented that should stir us up unto zealous service for the name and Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ!

I love the certainty of His Words communicated here…the intimation of the fact that it is only a matter of time before the King shall descend with the shout of the trump…only a matter of time before we shall see Him face to face…and receive from Him our rewards….to the saints and faithful of this age, it is cause for rejoicing! To the shepherd doing the bidding of the Master as he ought to…it is the Maranatha whisper constantly resounded in his heart. Glory to God!

With what staff shall we walk in the darkness of these times but with the staff of Light…even the Wisdom, strength and counsel of the Word of His Grace…Which words, the Holy Spirit, communicates clearly to the leadership in all local churches….Remember! Remember this! God is not unrighteous to forget your labor of love which you have shown towards His name in that you minister to the saints and do continue to minister….He has your reward with Him…when the Chief Shepherd appears, “you shall receive a crown of glory that does not fade away” Selah

Let the workers in the vineyard of the kingdom read this, understand it, walk in its light and be truly lifted!
