1 Peter 4:17-18 17 For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 Now “If the righteous one is scarcely saved, Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?”
What sobering thoughts we encounter here.
Mystery, I say, writ with esoteric ink…who will decipher?
Who wills to understand?
What does this mean?
….judgment must begin at the house of God?
…the righteous scarcely saved?
What does judgment in the context of this chapter mean?
Does this mean judgment of God’s people has already started?
Or is it referring to judgment due for another time?
How is it possible? …the righteous scarcely saved?
Does it mean a new creation can end up not saved?
Does this mean a New Creation can lose his salvation?
Or is “scarcely saved” referring to saved, but not to the “fullness thereof”?
May the light of Truth dawn brightest in our hearts as we ponder these questions and continue to seek answers from the depths of revelation hidden in the Word.
May the Holy Spirit continue to illumine our hearts…that we may know as we come to know…
