1 Peter · Exegesis of Light

love righteousness and hate iniquity

1 Peter 3:10-11 10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.

O let us endeavor to lift ourselves up and into this higher plane of living. Let us learn to rule our tongue and our thoughts…let us learn to think Light, talk Light… and walk the purest light of righteousness.

To the new creation, the call is to walk always with the scepter of righteousness held highest. The call is to love righteousness and hate iniquity.

What do you say to darkness when it shows up with sin to entice you to fall?
Why do you say no?
Why do you resist steadfastly?

The reason ought to be in His Word. Our response to why, what and how we respond to and subdue sin ought to be founded in the Word writ upon our hearts! Selah

This is the separation to which we have been brought unto in Christ. To walk holy and acceptable in righteousness before His eyes.

What resolve will you make today?
What will you decide in your spirit to follow and adhere to against all odds?
O let it be an unrelenting and steadfast commitment to righteousness…to pursue good and resist evil…and walk this sojourn leaning constantly upon the staff of righteousness.
May righteousness be your scepter…by it see your world ruled consistent with the dominion mandate given you in Christ!

Rise O Child of God in the power and glory of His Righteousness!

Selah
