It is when we identify ourselves as one with our substitute – Jesus Christ – that we awaken to the reality of what He accomplished for us on the cross. There is no other way. In order to connect to the power of His cross we must have a personal revelation into His vicarious ministry as savior of the world of man. Selah. We must reckon the reality of His death and our death in Him. Then we can say, that because of His death on the cross:
1. I obtained peace with God; today, His just demands is satisfied! I am no longer at enmity or at variance with Heaven’s court. God is not angry with me!
2. Sin died in me. I am free from the puppet strings of sin. The influence for it has nothing in me. It cannot exert any influence on me without my permission. For I am no longer its slave…I have been freed from its influence.
3. By His dying on the cross He broke the middle wall partitioning Jews and Gentiles. He annulled the law with its ordinances against us. He shed His blood and ratified a new covenant – a covenant in which both Jews and Gentiles stand as joint heirs with Christ… “of the two making one new man”! Selah
Therefore we conclude that by His death, He executed God’s eternal agenda of gathering all things and heading them up in Himself! Jesus is the second man – the head of this new order! This is the mystery unveiled in the Lord’s Table. For Corinthians tells us that in partaking of the Lord’s Table, we do proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes. What we proclaim is the new man – the fruit of the Lord’s death; and the heavenly mandate currently being executed that all things be found in HIM. We proclaim the gathering of men and of all creation under the Headship of the First born Jesus Christ. Glory to God!
And having made peace through the blood of His cross, by Him to reconcile all things unto Himself; By Him I say, whether they be things in earth or things in Heaven. Colossians 1:20
Today we declare this reality of the new man – found in Jesus Christ….who was dead but behold is alive forever more….who was raised up by the glory of the Father unto newness of life!
Have you awakened to these truths? Have you come to be saved by Him?
