Colossians

lean on the staff of His Name!

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. [Colossians 3:17]

Let us see the how we ought to speak and function now that we are in Christ! This is critical to our mandate to have dominion in this world. For we have been given the name of Jesus to live by…many of us are yet to scratch the surface of this reality.

In what name do you speak? In what name do you move and have your being? Are you functioning in the name of Jesus? The Book of Acts is replete with testimony to the power and authority the name of Jesus commands. Therein we find out that no name is above His name…no disease or infirmity is above His name…even death succumbs to the authority in His name.

We must recognise that we have been given the name of Jesus to live by. We must learn to walk and talk in the ability of His name. This again echoes the call to walk in Christ consciousness…to walk in the manifest awareness of the power and authority wielded by His name.

When we make utterances let it be backed and energised by the name of Jesus! When we embark on an idea born of His agenda, let us rest in the sure command and backing of His name. Glory to God!

There remains many doors to be unlocked and entered into in the experience of the church. I believe the key to these divine highways is found in the name of Jesus. I am certain of this. I know that as the Church learns to walk more in the power and authority of the name of Jesus, the more we will see the miraculous and divine life of Christ in us tangibly expressed.

Would you walk in His name? Would you always lean on the staff of His name? O child of God! You are for exploits if you do! For in His name you can walk on water and raise the dead and calm raging seas…this authority in His name is yours to yield.

Go forth now! Whatever you do…in word or deed, do in the mighty name of Jesus!

Glory!
