Colossians · Exegesis of Light

The insignia of God’s Elect…

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering— Colossians 3:12

These are the colours of the Kingdom we must adorn ourselves constantly in. These are the expressions of the first born that must be the fragrance of our lives. These must be the contrails that mark our flights in this sojourn. Glory to God!

We must learn to wear the insignia of His Kingdom and Lordship always. That men may know and testify truthfully of the Lordship of Jesus.

He says “put on” meaning the responsibility is ours. We have direct influence on whether or not we express these divine themes. It is a call to learn to walk these heavenly paths to the glory of the King.

He says as “The elect of God”….O Hallelujah!
Called and Chosen and Faithful! May we be found thus in this our sojourn today. For we are His Elect….His Ecclesia….His called out assembly. We are set to declare the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvellous light.

Let us walk adorned with mind postures, gestures and fragrances befitting our lofty pedestal. Let us put on the colours of the King and manifest the insignia of His office as we ought to.
