Maintain Your Confessions

Inasmuch then as we have a great High Priest Who has [already] ascended and passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession [of faith in Him].
Hebrews 4:14. (Amplified version).

To “hold fast your confession” means to continue speaking words consistent with the Word of God. It means to keep saying the same thing over and over again until you see the results. Our confession of faith in Him isn’t a leap into the dark but a leap on the sure and faithful Word of God.

The word confession comes from the Greek word “homologia” which means to say the same thing in sync with what God has said. This means our confessions are not mere words- they are the vehicles that communicate the will and power of God into a situation. Therefore, when a child of God declares the word of God with his anointed lips of faith, it unleashes tremendous power effectual to do mighty things!

Beloved, what has God said in His Word about you and your situation? Speak it! Declare it!

He has said all things are yours! I Corinthians 3:21, 22

He has said greater is he that is in you! I John 4:4

He has said you are more than a conqueror! Romans 8:37

He has said no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper! Isaiah 54: 17

What is your response to these truths in the Word of God?

Your response should be to hold fast unto these words and keep saying the same thing. It may take a while to manifest in tangible reality, but don’t give up…don’t give in! Be strong in the Lord; be rooted with absolute conviction in the faithfulness of His Word…for soon, very soon, you will see that Word tangibly manifested in your life! For we know this to be true; “if the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves!” Glory to God!

Lay a hold by faith on the Word of God, speak it on them lips anointed of the Holy Spirit…maintain that godly confession in the fight of faith and be ready to abound in praise to God as you see the verities of His Grace become tangible in this plane of existence.

Remember! O Child of God! Your words are the mold in which your life is cast!

You are Lifted!
